Thank you for making 2018 one of our biggest years of growth yet. We care about your passion and value your business and our working relationship. As we celebrate our 10 year Anniversary in 2019, our focus will continue to be on you as we help you achieve your goals, protect your wealth, and spend time on what’s worth it.
2. Opened Newly Expanded Omaha Office Space
This year was an exciting time for our firm as we grew out of our office space in Omaha in only a year after opening. The expanded space is located in the Advent Building in West Omaha. The space boasts 8,000 square feet and includes 16 attorney and executive offices, 9 paralegal and administrative staff collaborative spaces, as well as 3 state of the art conference rooms complete with the newest telecommunications and conference technology. The firm features a modern lobby and seating area paired with a state-of-the-art coffee bar, tall ceilings and hallways, large windows, and a large breakroom perfect for hosting firm events, meetings, seminars, and group lunches. The project was complete Summer of 2018 and the firm celebrated an open house this past September.
3. Named one of Top Fastest Growing Law Firms for the 2nd Year in a Row
The Goosmann Law Firm was proud to announce this past October that we had been named on the 3rd Annual 2018 Law Firm 500 Award Honorees list as one of the fastest growing law firms in the United States.
This is the second year the firm was listed as an Honoree, making the list in 2017. Goosmann was ranked No. 151 on the 2018 Law Firm 500 Award Honorees list showcasing the top firms who have achieved significant growth in revenues over the past three years.
To top it all off, Jeana even met legal legend, Erin Brockovich, in Las Vegas at the Law Firm 500 Awards where she was the guest speaker.
4. Grew to a Team of 55+
In 2018, our team grew substantially with 29 attorneys and 24+ staff. The firm welcomed long-time Sioux City Attorney Jeffrey T. Myers to the team as well as Omaha Attorneys Bob Kardell, Aimee Lowe, Nick Montague, Larry Roland, Dan Epstein, Katherine Huiskamp, Tara Holterhaus, and Sioux Falls Attorneys Meghann Joyce, Anna Limoges, Tyler Coverdale, and Sarah Laughlin, and Sioux City Attorneys Alex Berenstein and Sarah Keely.
5. Launched Real Estate Closing Services
Our real estate practice expanded with the addition of offering real estate closing services in May 2018. The firm now hosts home closings at the firm and makes the process as seamless and simple for the buyer, seller, realtor, and mortgage lender. So, if you see our “key” poster on social media, that’s one of our many happy home owners who closed their home purchase at the firm! A home is one of the biggest purchases people make in their lifetime, it’s a big deal and we celebrate with the home owners in the exciting moment. Include us in your next real estate closing!

6. Cesar Juarez Named Partner
In January 2018, Attorney Cesar Juarez was announced Partner. Cesar is a Sioux Falls attorney who focuses his practice on litigation and employment law, as well as expanding the firm’s thriving corporate and business law practice. He joined the firm in 2015 after practicing law for several years in South Dakota focusing on civil litigation, employment law, and insurance defense.
7. Plans for New Sioux Falls Office at Prairie Hills Galleria
In September 2018, the firm announced plans for our new Sioux Falls Office at Prairie Hills Galleria. As a common theme, the firm has grown out of its current space on South Minnesota Avenue and is thrilled to be a part of this stunning new project. Goosmann was the first business to commit to space at the new Prairie Hills Galleria, located at 69th Street and Western Avenue. The two-story, nearly 25,000-square-foot building is currently under construction. The Prairie Hills Galleria is expected to open in late spring of 2019. Our team can’t wait!
8. Jeana Goosmann and Joel Carney Became AAA Arbitrators
Jeana Goosmann, CEO and Managing Partner of Goosmann Law Firm, and Joel Carney, Omaha Managing Partner, became American Arbitration Association Arbitrators in October.
Goosmann and Carney traveled to Houston, Texas October 17th and 18th to complete the training and onboarding process of becoming American Arbitration Association (AAA) Arbitrators. Having completed the training, they are officially Panelists on the AAA National Roster of Arbitrators. The AAA is the nation's leading provider of alternative dispute services.
9. Jeana Selected as Top 100 High Stakes Litigator
Jeana Goosmann was selected as one of America’s Top 100 High Stakes Litigators® for 2018.
To be considered for selection, an attorney must have litigated a matter with at least $2,000,000 in alleged damages at stake or with the fate of a business worth at least $2,000,000 at stake. Less than one-half percent (0.5%) of active attorneys in the United States will receive this honor. Goosmann is a Lifetime Member of America’s Top 100 Attorneys®, a Member of the Nation’s Top One Percent by the National Association of Distinguished Counsel®, and has been named a 2018, 2017, 2016 & 2015 Super Lawyer®.
10. Attorneys Selected as Great Plains Super Lawyers/Rising Stars
Goosmann Law Firm’s CEO and Managing Partner, Jeana Goosmann was selected to the 2018 Great Plains Super Lawyers list along with trial attorney Anthony Osborn. Goosmann attorneys Emilee Boyle Gehling, Cesar Juarez, Chris Barondeau, Meghann Joyce, Lawrence J. Roland, and Nick Montague were selected to the 2018 Super Lawyers Great Plains Rising Stars list. Both Great Plains Super Lawyer and Rising Stars lists are issued by Thomson Reuters. Goosmann attorneys received an honor that is limited to no more than 5 percent of lawyers in the Great Plains.
