Goosmann Law Firm attorney Elizabeth M. Lally was chosen to present at the 2019 Midwestern Bankruptcy Institute presented by the American Bankruptcy Institute. The conference takes place at the University of Missouri-Kansas City on October 3rd, 2019. Lally’s presentation is titled “Ethically Speaking: Competence and Common Pitfalls in Bankruptcy.” The presentation will examine what the Model Rules of Professional Conduct have to say about competence, what we learn about competence in bankruptcy practice from related case law, and how to avoid the pitfalls and mistakes of others.
