Beginning January 1, 2022, South Dakota’s minimum wage for hourly employees increased to $9.95 per hour. This increase relates to the increased in cost of living, as reported and published through the U.S. Department of Labor.
Tipped employees will also see an increase in minimum wage to $4.975 per hour. This increase also took effect on January 1, 2022.
