Marie H. Ruettgers, Managing Attorney of the Goosmann Law Firm’s Sioux Falls office, is proud to announce Attorney Cesar Juarez joined the Goosmann team.  As one of a handful of fluent Spanish-speaking attorneys in South Dakota, Juarez gives a voice to South Dakotans and individuals throughout the Midwest whose needs have gone unmet for too long.  Juarez advises business and governmental entities in cases where the accuracy and content of Spanish communications are important.  Governmental entities have previously retained Juarez to help create forms and written policies for persons primarily fluent in only Spanish.  Businesses and corporations throughout the United States hire Juarez to communicate with and manage international attorneys when they require representation outside of the United States in Spanish-speaking countries.

In addition to his extensive work with Spanish-speaking individuals, Juarez anticipates and prevents our clients’ legal issues in the employment and commercial law arenas by advising businesses and corporations preemptively and strategically to ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal laws and regulations, as well as international laws and regulations for the importation and exportation of goods to, and from, other countries.  Juarez will be handling primarily employment law, commercial law, and civil litigation cases, as well as expanding the firm’s thriving business law practice.

“We are very pleased to have Juarez onboard helping our clients with human resources, compliance, and occupational health and safety issues as they manage their workforce.  Juarez’s employment law focus will help those South Dakota businesses, and businesses in the Midwest, which drive our economy and compete in a global marketplace.” says Ruettgers.

Juarez earned his Juris Doctorate with honors from the University of South Dakota School of Law in 2011.  While in law school, Juarez competed in the school’s moot court team and in the trial advocacy team, through which he represented USD law in various prestigious tournaments and discovered a profound passion for litigation and trial work.  After graduation, he served as a Law Clerk for the judges of the Second Judicial Circuit, in South Dakota.  Juarez entered private practice in 2012.  During his three years in private practice, Juarez continued to follow his passion for litigation and trial work.  Earlier this year, Juarez represented a client in a federal jury trial that lasted several days.  He has also represented clients in various court trials and has advocated for clients at several motions hearings.

When he’s not practicing law, Juarez enjoys being physically active and participating in community activities.  Juarez says, “I look forward to working with the team of Goosmann law firm attorneys and continuing their tradition of providing premier legal service and strategic advice to our clients.”

The Sioux Falls community is noticing the firm’s presence as CEO and Managing Partner, Jeana Goosmann, is featured on the Law Review, a TV segment airing on KELOLAND where Goosmann shares fresh and innovative legal insight on the latest trending law topics.  Goosmann Law Firm also has a new location in Sioux Falls on 5010 South Minnesota Avenue.

Juarez is licensed to practice in South Dakota and Nebraska. His areas of practice include but are not limited to employment law, commercial law, family law, and civil litigation.

Goosmann Law Firm has four convenient locations in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Sioux City, Iowa, Spencer, Iowa, and Dakota Dunes, South Dakota. To learn more about the Goosmann Law Firm, visit their website at www.GoosmannLaw.com or call 605-371-2000.
