February 12, 2014. The Administration announced it will extend the employer mandate delay for some small businesses for another year. Businesses with 50-90 employees will not be required to meet the employer requirements of Obamacare until 2016. At that time, these employers will either be required to offer minimum health coverage to their employees or pay a penalty. This is the second delay for the employer mandate.
