On November 12, 2019, Southern Foods Group, LLC dba Dean Foods Company and 43 of its affiliates filed a petition for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the Southern District of Texas in the Houston Division.

Dean Foods is a dairy producer with over 50 local and regional brand names involved in the production and sale of milk, ice cream, juices, teas, water and other products, with suppliers and other creditors located throughout the United States.

Chapter 11 bankruptcies move very quickly and deadlines are often shortened on request of the debtor.
