March 20, 2014. Recently, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration passed new laws changing the requirements of what a serving size is on food product labels. Parts of the nutritional information will now be highlighted such as calories, sugar content and portions. The new labels will need to disclose the stats for each serving size as well as the stats for the entire package. You may find an FDA discussion of the new requirements HERE.
