ABOUT THE JOB (RESPONSIBILITIES)
The responsibilities of the Finance Manager include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Collaborate with Chief of Staff and Managing Attorneys to achieve business goals
- Liaison between Managing attorneys and Finance
- Travel 10-20% of the time regionally and occasionally nationally
- Oversee and manage all financial processes, including:
- P&L, Balance Sheet and monthly closings
- Billing and invoicing processes, collections and pre-bills
- Budgeting, projections and forecasting
- Cash management, operating and trust accounts, line of credit, and banking relationships
- Payroll and related activities
- Tax filings and other external reporting
- Establish a work environment that is appealing to new team members and is difficult for current team members to leave
- Develop long-term strategic financial plans and development programs to support the Firm’s strategic plan
- Set goals and objectives and manage growth and financial resources to increase revenue
- Develop forecasts and projections by working with Chief of Staff and Managing Attorneys
- Develop and manage systemized financial protocols, programs and processes
- Organize, maximize, motivate and coach team members to increase productivity
- Conduct 1:1 meetings with team members
TICKET (SPECIFICATIONS)
Required
- 4 Year Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Minimum six years of finance and accounting experience
- Experience managing others
- Demonstrated success in managing the responsibilities outlined above
- Willingness to travel regionally
- Evidence of career progression, with ability to grow into roles with greater responsibility moving forward
