Local Terminated Asst. U.S. Attorney’s Case Exposes Issues Facing Federal Government as an Employer

August 21, 2013. Former Assistant U.S. Attorney Martha Fagg brought a case against the federal government alleging age discrimination. During the depositions, her former boss testified she secretly monitored employees’ computers and security badge data. Such monitoring was legal, but the plaintiff claims it was used, along with a forced move to the other side of the state, in retaliation against her for raising concerns of age discrimination. The local case is moving forward. Fagg’s former boss is now a federal judge in the Southern District of Iowa. View the article in the Sioux City Journal here (article has expired).
