Happy Anniversary: Celebrating 7 Years of the GLF Family

It's 2016 - so we thought it was only fitting to take a full team selfie as we celebrated the firm's 7 year anniversary!

As we watch our team grow, every year we take a moment to celebrate and appreciate all the people who've helped make each year a success. Big thanks to our clients, team, and friends. Here are some of our team's biggest milestones over the past 7 years. 

2009-

In 2009, GLF opened its doors for the first time on the 4^th floor of the Pioneer Bank Building. The offices were so small that they almost looked like closets! The picture below shows Attorney Emilee Boyle Gehling’s door as it was barely able to open with her desk in the office!  Emilee Boyle Gehling, Jeana Goosmann, and Monica Colella were all part of the GLF Team in 2009.

2010-

In 2010, we moved to Suite 200 in the Pioneer Bank. The square foot radius of our office nearly tripled with this move! Attorney Anthony Osborn and Firm Administrator Kris Craighead joined the Firm this year!

2011-

2011 brought on a whole new set of challenges because every attorney at GLF had a baby! Of course we had to start a Firm Trick or Treat tradition! Family Law Attorney Chris Barondeau joined the team this year.

2012-

LERCH MOVE! It was a long time coming, but we finally moved into the 1st floor of the newly renovated Lerch building in March of 2012! On April 6^th, the Firm received a jury verdict in favor of Rick Bertrand in Bertrand v. Mullin for libel and slander in relation to a false political TV ad during the 2010 Senate Race. The court awarded Bertrand $231,000 in damages with the GLF victory of the case!

The Goosmann Law Firm moved into the Lerch Building in March of 2012.

2013-

GLF rang in 2013 with a new office location in Sioux Falls, South Dakota! CEO Jeana Goosmann began recording the Law Review on KTIV and was named to the Top 10 under 40 by Siouxland Magazine. The year launched a boutique department within the Firm with the Goosmann Trust Law Counsel opening!  Breandan Donahue, Bruce Smith, Christie Finnegan, and Rachel Thompson joined the firm in 2013.

2014-

In 2014, the GLF Website received quite the face lift with a complete overhaul of the site. Jeana started the Law Review on KELOLAND, and Attorney Anthony Osborn was named to the Top 10 under 40 by Siouxland Magazine.  The fight for political honesty continued on with the overturning of the verdict in Bertrand v. Mullin, so the GLF team formed a case to present in front of the United States Supreme Court.  Marie Ruettgers and Scott Leuning joined the firm in 2014.

2015-

The Firm opened its 3^rd location in Spencer, Iowa and moved to a new location in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. In 2015, Jeana was selected as a Super Lawyer by Super Lawyers.com and the Firm joined the National Association of Minority and Women Owned Law Firms (NAMWOLF)!  2015 was a big year as the firm grew - Abby Rook, Autumn Nelson, Bridget Bailey, Caitlin Salem, Cesar Juarez, Marilee Thomas, and Melissa Grant joined the firm. 

GLF opened an office in Spencer, Iowa in summer of 2015.

GLF moved to a new location in Sioux Falls on S. Minnesota Avenue in 2015.

2016-

2016 continues to bring growth for the Goosmann Law Firm!  Our paralegal team started the year at 2 and has since grown to 6 across our FOUR locations! GLF now has a team of 25 and is looking to what the 7^th year of the Firm will bring!  GLF welcomed Chasity Raub- Medina, Jeannie Stolee, Kristin Veltkamp, and Sarah Nupdahl to the team!
