Barondeau is both a lawyer and a soldier. He focuses his practice on divorce and family law and currently serves in the Nebraska Army National Guard as Commander of HHC of the 126th Chemical Battalion.
Barondeau joined the firm in 2011 after receiving his JD from Creighton University School of Law. Prior to joining the firm, Chris was deployed to Iraq where he operated a vehicle used to locate roadside bombs. Given this stressful work assignment, Barondeau has become a strong advocate for his family and divorce clients as they navigate their own individual minefields.
With more than 15 years of military service, Barondeau has a unique understanding of the challenges and difficulties facing current members and veterans of the Active Duty Military, as well as the National Guard and Reserves, when dealing with family law matters. His experience leaves him uniquely situated to assist veterans and active service members through difficult family law matters.
Barondeau strategically handles complex divorces, contested child custody matters, complicated asset and business divisions, adoptions, drafting of prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, and modifications of custody, alimony and child support orders. Barondeau is a member of the Family Law Section of both the Iowa and Nebraska State Bar Associations.
