April 8, 2014. Lately, traffic cameras have been a hot topic issue in the surrounding tri-state region. Recently the South Dakota legislature approved a measure that will prevent the sharing of confidential motorist information with states seeking license data for use in civil penalty traffic camera cases.
Traffic cameras aren't normally at the top of the legislative agenda, however, when fundamental constitutional rights are being violated, it is the duty of every citizen to stand up and throw a red flag.
