The Bureau of Labor Statistics released its report on employment in the U.S. Although the unemployment rate decreased, the growth in new jobs added to the economy has slowed. Approximately 74,000 jobs were added in December, down from previous months, which had seen 200,000+ added jobs. December has proven to be the lowest in the number of jobs added since early 2011.
