Federal Judges Mark W. Bennett and Chief Judge Jim Gritzner have notified President Barack Obama that they will be stepping down from full-time judging in 2015. Judge Mark Bennett was appointed to the bench by President Bill Clinton in 1994, and currently sits in the Northern District of Iowa in Sioux City, Iowa. Jim Gritzner sits in Des Moines, Iowa in the Southern District and was appointed by President George W. Bush in 2001 .
