Jeana Goosmann, CEO & Managing Partner of the Goosmann Law Firm, is pleased to announce that Attorney Sam Ferguson has joined their team at their Sioux Falls, South Dakota law firm location.

Ferguson is an estate planning attorney through Goosmann Trust Law Counsel, a boutique estate and business succession planning department within the full service law firm. His areas of focus include estate planning, income & retirement planning, asset protection, business & succession planning, charitable planning, probate & trust administration, estate litigation, conflict and dispute resolution, wills and trusts.

Ferguson works to protect clients’ family legacy and bring peace of mind to their families.  Licensed and practicing in South Dakota, Ferguson is familiar with the South Dakota trust laws, which are the best in the United States.  South Dakota’s trust laws are progressive, and its trusts may continue indefinitely; there is no state income tax, and the state offers strong asset protection statutes. Ferguson works with clients in establishing trusts and transferring trusts to South Dakota.

Ferguson, originally from Tennessee, received his undergraduate degree from Missouri State University and Juris Doctor from the University of Tennessee College of Law where he was the Managing Editor of Transactions: The Tennessee Journal of Business Law, volunteer income tax assistance (VITA) program co-coordinator, and Federalist Society Director of Communications.
